Brightside University: How to Rock Prints

Brightside University: How to Rock Prints
Brightside University is back in session, and for today's lesson we're talking about all things prints. From the ever-so-popular York print to edgy florals and plaid this article will tell you everything you need to know about styling them. You know them, you love them, so it's time to start rocking them.

1. Thrills Print Corset Top

We all love a good corset top! The Thrills Print Corset Top is the perfect way to add prints to your closet while keeping that staple corset style that you know and love. This top has boning structure and a drawstring tie at the top to keep the classic corset silhouette, but features an all over black and white print to add a bit of edge.

How to style? Keep the edge by adding a black leather pant or skort, chunky jewelry, and black boots. If you want to soften the look a bit, opt for black straight leg denim with minimal distressing, dainty jewelry, and a sandal heel.

2. Free People Lady Lux Layering Top

Circa 2016 mesh tops were all the rage and quite honestly... I'm not sure why we ever let them leave. The Free People Lady Lux Layering Top puts a modern twist on this forgotten trend with the embroidered floral detail while the mock neck and long sleeves perfectly juxtapose the sexy see through mesh.

How to style? Layered with a graphic tee. Like are you kidding! It adds the prefect edgy touch to any outfit. Throw on jeans or leather pants and you'll be set for the night. If you're wanting to take things up a notch and show a little skin... opt for a black bralette underneath the top. Add a red pant or skort and it's sure to be all eyes on you.

3. York Button Up Shirt and Short

This print speaks for itself, afterall we have 3 different style dresses and a shirt set in it! The York Button Up Shirt adds a bit of ✨spice✨ to the button up shirt trend taking the world by storm, and the York Shorts perfectly complete the look. Whether you're looking to keep it comfortable while heading to class, or looking for a fun outfit to run your errands in, this set has you covered.

How to style? Obviously the set with black sandals! If you're just feeling the shirt you could add a fun pair of leather shorts, or black denim. If you're loving the shorts try adding a black bodysuit!

4. Free People Plaid Jules Pant

With colder weather comes plaid but that's nothing to dread! The Free People Plaid Jules Pant is giving preppy yet chic. The wider leg fit will keep you comfortable while still looking like you run the show.

How to style? We are loving this look paired with black long sleeves. Whether its a bodysuit or a cropped top, long sleeves perfectly compliment the preppy vibe of the pants. These pants also pair well with a white cap sleeve top or bodysuit. Finish the look with loafers or boots!

5. Free People Dreamed of You Tee

The Free People Dreamed of You Top screams fall and we are loving it. The tight fitting silhouette and floral print are a nice nod to the Y2K trend taking the world by storm right now, without going full 2005 on you! The subtle ruching along the front add the perfect finishing touch to this top.

How to style? Add black denim, subtle jewelry, and booties to this top for a fall look that can take you straight from apple picking to a fun day at the brewery!
How are you going to rock prints this fall?
